Giving Accelerate AI Its Own Signal
Accelerate USA in Miami was never going to be a small event. Three thousand people, four sitting U.S. senators, the CEO of Tether USA, and a guest list pulling in names like Jump Trading, Bitwise, State Street and Galaxy Digital, all packed into three days about payments, tokenization, policy and capital. Somewhere inside that scale, Solana had a smaller problem worth solving on its own, the AI conversation happening across their ecosystem, agent infrastructure, autonomous payments, the whole idea of Solana as the chain agents actually transact on, was getting buried under everything else on the agenda. It needed its own room, its own day, its own identity. That's how Accelerate AI came to be.
The idea was simple on paper and specific in practice, pull AI out of the main Accelerate program and give it a dedicated, invite-only gathering the day after the main event wrapped, May 6th, at The Lab in Miami. No mainstage, no three-day sprawl. A morning workshop built around Hermes agent development, open co-working over coffee, an afternoon of curated talks, live demos, and a panel, then a happy hour to keep the room talking once the programming ended. The roster leaned into it: builders and speakers from Coinbase, Google, VanEck, MoonPay, Metaplex Foundation and a run of AI-native funds and protocols, the kind of room where the conversation in the hallway matters as much as the one on stage.
Solana came to us for the brand identity, logo, event design and motion, and we made a deliberate call early on, don't hand Accelerate AI the same ribbon system we'd just built for Miami and Hong Kong. A single day of workshops and demos for builders is a different animal than a three-day institutional stage, and it deserved a mark of its own rather than a reskin. What we gave it instead was a signal, literally, a deep, saturated purple field carrying a woven pattern of thin waveforms, the kind of line work that reads like frequency data or a pulse being visualized in real time. It's a fitting language for a room built around agents, models and machine-to-machine payments, and it's distinct enough from the main Accelerate system to stand on its own while still sitting comfortably in Solana's color world.
The wordmark got the same treatment, a custom "Accelerate AI" lockup in a sharp, technical typeface, running in solid white for most applications and in a blue-to-teal gradient when it needed to carry more energy, alongside a compact "S / AI" monogram built for avatars, buttons and anywhere the full lockup wouldn't fit. We also built the identity to carry a small "Series" tag under the logo, a quiet signal that this wasn't meant to be a one-off, Accelerate AI is designed to run it back.
Then came the part that doesn't show up in a brand deck, actually building the room. We designed the full physical footprint for The Lab, a 55" LCD media wall, a two-sided LED stage backdrop, an acrylic podium, custom printed pillows for the lounge seating, wraps for a DJ booth stationed out in the parking lot, and even a pair of branded bicycles. A "Fuel Station" cling, powered by the Solana Policy Institute, marked the coffee and snack setup, while numbered clings pointed people toward the meeting room and podcast room. Every one of those pieces also had to carry co-branding for the event's partners, Solana Policy Institute and Zerion among them, cleanly, without ever losing the Accelerate AI signal underneath it all. Add to that a full speaker card system built for a confirmed roster of seventeen names, and this stopped being a brand concept and became a fully produced, on-site event.
What Accelerate AI really proves is something a bit different from what a straight brand extension would have shown. Solana didn't just want the main Accelerate look reused at a smaller scale, they wanted a studio that could build a second, distinct identity inside the same family and carry it all the way through to signage, seating and a step-and-repeat, in the time it takes most agencies to finish a moodboard. That's the version of this relationship we're most interested in building on.
